If you’re newer to the Barn and are checking to see if this is the church home for you, this is the small group for you. Pastors Bruce and Lynn Latshaw will host this group at their home just down from the new Barn. It will meet for four consecutive Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 PM starting Sept. 8th and will provide a genuine small group community experience as we get to know one another in Christ. We will receive teaching from the Bible, share our faith stories, and minister to one another as the Spirit leads. Please sign up on the sheets going around on Sunday morning or call the office to let Bruce and Lynn know you’ll be joining them.
VCF is pleased to announce the launch of our School of the Spirit, started by Rob Palkovitz, Bruce Latshaw, and Steve Buckalew. The vision of this School to is to provide quality Christian equipping for life and ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit. We will do this through class instruction, demonstration and participation clinics, real life ministry projects, and spiritual mentoring. Those who actually do ministries will impart training in those ministries. The School is for both the younger kingdom disciple and the maturing believer who desires intensive equipping in Spirit-empowered ministries. The School will serve all Christians who desire to grow in their faith and ministries. The first class, entitled “Foundations of Spirt-Empowered Christianity,” runs on Tuesday evenings at Barn, from 7-9 PM, starting the first Tues. in October. The topics of this class include receiving the fullness of the Spirit, learning to hear God’s voice, and discovering your God-given gifts and ministries. Childcare available if office notified by Sunday before the Tuesday class. An offering will be taken the final class meeting. Those who enroll in this first class will be asked to purchase the workbook, Hearing God’s Voice, by Mark Virkler.
Join us Friday, Sept. 17th, at 7 PM!
