Freedom For Life Recovery Community
What is an addiction? Do you think of images of people hugging a bottle or some kind of paraphernalia? But the real definition of addiction is anything that we put between God and us that hinders us from being all God created us to become. These things can be substances (like food, coffee, sugar, alcohol, and drugs) or processes (like exercise, gambling, sex, and work) or relationships (like parents, children, spouses, and friends). We don’t see how we can live without them. Based on this definition, if we look at ourselves and lives honestly, most of us are addicted to something. The Freedom for Life group is designed to help each of us realize what things keep us from true freedom in Christ and help us establish deep honest and meaningful relationships with others who are in the process of or have overcome their addictions. Please take the time to ask God if there are things of this world that have more control over your time, money or talents then God would desire. And then consider joining us–Sundays, 7 PM, starting Jan 15.
