Our 10:30am service is running as scheduled. The roads are a little icy, but not bad. Just leave some extra time for travel.
God loves to do big things through small and insignificant people. Are there things in your life that God is asking you to start small?
Save the date for our annual Christmas Adoration Service, on Monday, December 22nd at 7pm. There will be a great play and, of course, singing of some of our favorite Christmas carols! Friends and family are welcome!
You and your friends and family can help The Bridge (a ministry of The Church of the Nazarene) serve a Christmas dinner to 500 people on Saturday, December 20th at 5pm. There are opportunities to serve by setting up, cleaning up, and/or serving food. Call 610-869-9500 to volunteer, or call the church office.
In this season of great difficulty, God is calling His people to rise up into a greater sense of urgencyand action. Jesus wants us to love more deeply, live more faithfully, and pray more passionately. We can't just depend on a passive hope in God's goodness, but assertively and fervantly live in His grace and seek His face.
Come join us from 12-3pm on Saturday, December 13th to help the kids we know from Wilmington celebrate Christmas! We'll have crafts and cookies and gifts for the kids. If you'd like to help us drive or wrap or any other number of things, please contact Mary Hampson.
Our recent outreach to The Bridge, the food ministry at Avondale Church of the Nazarene, was a great success and really touched everyone who participated. Over 30 VCFers were there on Saturday, Nov. 22, to pack boxes with food for Thankgiving and organize clothes that were donated. Then on Tuesday, Nov. 25, over 30 more of us helped give put food and clothing to 156 families. These families were so excited and grateful for what they received and we were all blessed to be part of such an important outreach. If you want to be part of this, just visit their website. They give out food every Tuesday from 5:45 to 8:15 PM.
God's desire for a true relationship with us invites us to enjoy the cleansing power of forgiveness. Listen to Christian's quick exposition of 1 John 1:9.
In this teaching, Bruce discusses two very common strategies the enemy uses to defeat Christians and explains how to overcome them in our daily lives.
